About

Matt Beaumont is a Sheffield-based, fully qualified & ARB registered architect. He studied at the University of Nottingham (RIBA Part I) and the University of Westminster (RIBA Part II & III), winning awards for best portfolio at both undergraduate and masters level. In 2012 he received the EDUCATE Prize at the Casa dell’Architettura, Rome. You can read Matt’s architectural journal here.

During his masters studies at the University of Westminster, Matt studied under tutors Stuart Piercy (Piercy & Company) & Anthony Boulanger (AY Architects). Before this he joined Nasa Golzari & Yara Sharif (DS22), visiting & studying Palestine’s West Bank. This study visit formed the brief for his 5th year final project the Seaports of Gaza (2016).

Following his undergraduate study, Matt spent two years working in practice. First at Evans Vettori Architects, Matlock, working on a variety of bespoke domestic projects around the Peak District, then for Foster + Partners, London, working on projects within the middle east including Dubai Design District’s Creative Community.

Since the completion of his masters degree at the University of Westminster in July 2017, Matt has worked for Bennetts Associates Architects’ London office on a variety of projects & competition bids within the commercial & education sectors, including the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists HQ at London Bridge and then working as the project architect for a ’laboratory-ready’ office building known as Plot A of the Tribeca masterplan at King’s Cross, London.

Most recently, he delivered a £1.5m refurbishment of a Grade II listed house in Henley on Thames while at McLaren Excell in London.
